Caleb goes to Kindergarten! 8/24/09

These pics are in the wrong order.. Sorry.. Here he is blowing out the candles on his kindergarten cake. Caleb and Damien
About to go into the school

Walking up to the door

Asleep Sunday night while I was up crying. Isn't he precious!
(he just loves that pink robe.. I can use these pics as leverage when he's a teen)

My baby had a great first day of kindergarten! I drop him off at before care in the morning and Ryan has been picking him up after school. He really loves that his cousin Damien goes there too. I cried the night before and couldn't sleep but Monday morning he did so well that I was actually ok. If he would have cried I would have been a wreck. He was happy though! I'm so proud of him and very thankful that he is doing really well.

Less than one week til Kindergarten!

This was from his first day of daycare. Almost 2 yrs old.

Here's Caleb watching Dora (probably..) with his first little backpack on.

Kindergarten kid with his new Mario lunch box. 5 1/2 yrs old

New back pack! (I know.. he likes to wear only undies around the house!)

It's hard to believe that my baby is starting real school. I keep remembering what a hard time I had when he started daycare right before he turned 2. I had a very hard time the first day. I cried a lot and left very early to go get him. The second day wasn't much better. I think he is going to do great though and at least this time he can tell me exactly how he feels about it and if anyone is mean to him or hurts him. He also is old enough now to understand that I am coming back to get him. When he was almost two he didn't know why I was leaving him with strangers or if I was coming back. It broke my heart. Luckily my mom was able to stay home and watch him when he was a baby, so I knew he was in good hands. He's been at Grace Baptist since about two and a half years old. As soon as he was potty trained we moved him to that daycare. They have been really great and he has so many wonderful friends there. It's a little sad to be leaving them but it's exciting to experience something new and make new friends.

Yep! That's My Caleb..

That's definitely my goofball son.. He was tired and acting like a baby last night after his shower. I kept saying "get your underwear on and brush your teeth!" and he would say "me don't know how mommy"... in baby talk! What happened to the "I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy!" Well, I guess it doesn't count when he's really tired and beyond goofy. So I walk by the bathroom and this is what I see. I had to take a picture. He had two toothbrushes in his mouth and both legs in the same leg hole, with his butt hanging out! He's always doing something like that. He loves to make me and Ryan laugh. This picture perfectly describes my sons personality. Gotta love him. No matter what kind of day I have had or mood I am in, I pick him up from school and I am happy.

My baby- I mean Big Boy helping me cook..

Making Pancakes Sunday morning

Sunday Caleb started telling me that I cannot call him baby anymore. He said he is a big boy, NOT a baby. I have been trying but it's very hard. I have realized that my main name for him is baby. He's getting onto me every time I say it so I realize now how much I call him that. It's just very hard for me. He IS my baby. I can't believe he will be in kindergarten very soon.

Caleb's 1st Sleepover!

John and Caleb playing DS before bed

Caleb and John finally fell asleep after midnight

Playing DS again by 7 the next morning!
This was the first time someone stayed overnight with Caleb that was not a cousin or something. It was fun. All they wanted to do was play DS though!
