Coach Bryan and Coach Ryan with the kids.
Opening Day was great! I think our team did a great job decorating the truck. The kids seemed to have a lot of fun riding in the parade too. We didn't win the game or the parade but it doesn't matter, it was still a beautiful day and we all enjoyed it. Coach Tim did a great job with the ceremony and everything. I hope people realize how hard he works running this league. Caleb didn't feel too great but he hung in there for the most part. I think his allergies were getting to him. It was also grandaddy Rozy's Birthday and he came to watch the game. Our team played the Mudcats. They are very good. As far as the kids are concerned all the games are ties, but we actually got beat bad! Calebs cousin Madison plays on the Mudcats and a few of the other kids are friends of his. It's so fun watching them play. I love our team. All the kids are so great! It was a great day. I'm still exhausted though.

Easter 2009

My Pawpaw xoxo
This Easter I want to remember two of the most special people that ever lived. My Paw paw, who was the best grandpa a girl could ever ask for. Everytime I think of Easter, I think of him. My Mawmaw and him always made Easter so magical and special and I don't think I am doing nearly as well with Caleb as they did for me and Michelle and the rest of us grandkids. I miss him the most at Easter and Christmas. I also miss Van very much. I'm sure everyone who ever met him does. He was the brightest light in any room. Such a beautiful soul is impossible to forget and so hard to live without. I hope Caleb can understand one day how important these two people were to Ryan and I. I'd give anything for a smile or hug from either of them. Happy Easter Paw paw and Van. We all love you and miss you!

Easter Pics of my boy! As you can see he wouldn't really stand still for me take a picture..
Here he is with cousin Damien and a boy from our Church.

Scarlet Fever...

it was not fun for either of us, especially Caleb! Some kids develop scarlet fever when they get strep, which explains his bad rash. He's doing so much better now. The rash was the worst part and the peeling that followed it. His little butt and groin area are still red and sore from peeling. On a good note, his asthma has been doing really well!

If the ground dries up enough today we will have his first T-ball game of the season tonight. I can't wait. I will post pictures tomorrow from his game if we have it. I also want to post some pics from Last Spring when he played T ball for the first time as the Rockhounds and from Fall when he was on the Yellow Bombers. I love my little ball player and I'm so proud of how much he's grown and how his playing has improved. Opening Day is this Saturday! Lets go Rockhounds!

My Baby Has Strep Throat!

Poor baby!

My big boy!

Temp lastnight was 99.7

Hates taking medicine! Has to have M&M's after every tiny squirt.

Caleb started complaining Monday morning about his neck hurting (which usually means his throat is sore) and by Monday night he was running a low grade fever. Tuesday I got a call from his daycare before 9 am asking me if I had seen the rash on his neck and back and of course I had not seen it so I went to get him and took him to see Dr. Sait. It looked terrible. It has spread by the time we got to the doctors office. He completely freaked when a new nurse said something to him about using the swab things to check out Mr. tonsils and after that he wouldn't let anyone in his mouth. Dr. Sait said that the rash was definitely a strep rash though, and it had gone around his school the week before and he had the low grade fevers to go with strep so he prescribed an antibiotic. Today is Thursday and he still feels kinda crappy. The rash is worse than ever today. He itched it all night in his sleep. I went to CVS today and got him the Sarna lotion that his Doctor recommended for the itching. Here are some pictures of him from this nasty week with strep. The pic of him with his inhaler is just because I don't have one of him on here yet and he's such a big boy using that so good everynight. He got to start using that for his asthma when he turned 5. Before that he had the nebulizer everynight. The inhaler (with spaver) is a lot more fast and easy!

Riding the tractor with Dad

Caleb and Ryan cutting the grass. It didn't last long, Caleb gets bored and wants to go play.

He had been playing with his cousin Damien and fell pretty hard on the paved driveway. He has a bunch of bad scrapes that were bleeding and he freaked out so we cleaned it up, put a huge band aid on him and told him to go play but being his usual dramatic self he wouldnt move. He said he broke his leg and was scared to go back outside. I told him he could wear his old shin guards from soccer so that if he fell again he would be fine. So he went back outside and within 30 minutes he was running all around with Damien again and had taken the shin guards and the band aids off. I found the band aids stuck to a tree by the porch. He's such a silly kid. This pic was taken after the fall and before he took everything off his leg.
