Almost 14 weeks, just checking in..

My boys are both doing so well!  Jake is sleeping through the night and stays busy being adorable.  He’s wearing 6-9 months now, looks huge next to my friends newborn and loves hanging with his grammy everyday.  He tried cereal last night and LOVED it.  he actually smiled and laughed after his 1st bite.  He’s such a pig!    I wasn’t going to give him any food until after his 4 months check up but I just knew he would love it and he’s always hungry.  He is thinning out some already though.  He has 4 (6oz) bottles a day and is in a great routine.  He gets up around 6 am, eats around 10 or 11, then between 3 and 4, then around 8pm and then goes to sleep around 9ish and sleeps til 6am again.  Sometimes I have to go in and give him his paci around 3ish in the morning and he goes right back to sleep.  I never give him a bottle in the middle of the night because he just fusses for a second and goes right back to sleep when he gets the paci so I guess its a good thing.  He is just the best baby these days.

Caleb is really enjoying baseball (what’s new) and he’s getting SO, SO, SO good.  I think he was born to play.  Today is career day at school and  he dressed as a baseball player for the Orioles.  He is a great helper.  Best big brother ever.  He feeds Jake for me in the morning when I’m in a hurry and need help, and I feel bad for making him help me so much but luckily he doesn’t seem to mind it.

I’m always worried about if I’m being a good enough mother or wife.  I try so hard but never feel like I’m doing as good as I want to.   I wish I had more time to spend with my boys and more time to clean and more time for my friends, and maybe even a little me time :)   My sons are healthy and happy so I need to stop being so hard on myself  I guess.  They definitely LOVE ME!  I’m so lucky.

Here’s some recent pics.

Ummm, this is what happens when you let Daddy take Jake somewhere.. They met me at the baseball field last week for the 1st time, I came straight from work.  This is how I found Jakey..  check out the straps..  I guess Ryan thought he was going bungee jumping.  His hips are strapped in but not his shoulders.. not sure what in the world he was thinking.  (i was kinda upset about it, now its funny.)  I use a nice convertible car seat in my truck but I didn’t buy one for Ryan yet so he’s still in this old carrier.  He doesn’t like it too much.  Big boy likes his nice car seat in mommy’s truck much better.  Hopefully soon I can get Daddy and Grammy ones for their cars.  The look on his face is like “this is not funny MOM!”
